Recycling
Ordinance Highlights
- Recycles
newsprint and other paper, Numbers 1 and 2 plastics, aluminum
and bi-metallic cans and glass. The township has no single hauler.
As a result, residents make arrangements to contract with their
hauler of choice.
- Over the
past three years (1996, 1997, 1998) township residents have recycled
over 1,242 tons of materials.
- The township
recently established a cardboard recycling drop-off center that
is located at the highway maintenance building at 480 Indian Creek
Road. Thus far, the container has been a success with the residents.
- The recycling
ordinance is enforced by the Code Enforcement Department. The
responsibility for its enforcement lies with the Building/Plumbing
Inspector.

in Recycling Award for 2003.
