Last year, Pheasant
Run Apartments in Lower Salford reported that it recycled almost
25 tons of materials from its 142 one and two-bedroom apartments.
The complex, which is 22 years old, intends to do even better this
year.
Management plans
to increase its recycling effort by placing additional recycling
containers at more locations around the complex. The containers
will be labeled for newsprint, plastics and tin and aluminum cans.
The apartment management team believes these new containers will
mean an increased amount of recycling for this year.
Because of its
aggressive approach to recycling and a desire to keep doing better,
Lower Salford Township awarded the "Excellence in Recycling Award"
to Pheasant Run Apartments.
